Privacy Notice
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
CallTrellis (operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] d/b/a CallTrellis, "we," "us") is a referral and advertising service that connects homeowners with independent, third-party service professionals. Because we share your service-request details with the professional matched to your request, this notice explains — in plain terms — what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and other state privacy laws.
1. Information we collect
- Identifiers & contact information — name, phone number, email, and service address or ZIP.
- Service-request details — the type of problem, urgency, property type, and notes you provide.
- Call recordings — calls to our tracked numbers are recorded and monitored (you hear a disclosure before the call connects).
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and pages viewed.
- Consent records — the date, time, IP, page, and exact wording of any consent you give, including third-party consent-certification data.
We collect this directly from you (via forms and calls) and automatically from your device when you use the site.
2. How we use information
- To match your request with a service professional and pass your details to that professional so they can contact you.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and our matching service.
- To document your consent and comply with legal obligations.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email where you have consented.
3. We share and "sell" information — what that means
When you submit a request or call us, we share your contact details and service-request information with the independent service professional(s) matched to you, identified in the consent shown at the point of collection. Under California and some other state laws, sharing your information with those professionals may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, because those professionals pay us for the connection. We do not sell your information to unrelated data brokers, and we route each request to the matched professional only.
Categories of recipients: the matched service professional(s); our service providers (hosting, call handling, communications, analytics) under contract; and authorities where required by law.
4. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- Delete your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: to opt out, email [PRIVACY EMAIL] or call [TOLL-FREE NUMBER]. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing.
To exercise any right, contact us using the methods in Section 8. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe your state law requires.
5. Retention
We keep consent records for approximately four to five years, call recordings for the length of our billing-dispute window, and service-request data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
6. Recording & site technology
Calls to our tracked numbers are recorded, with a disclosure played before connection. Our site uses technology to record your visit and form entries in order to document your consent. We do not process this data for purposes beyond those described here.
7. Other state laws & email
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights described above to the extent those laws apply. Our commercial emails include a working unsubscribe link, honored promptly, and identify our mailing address.
